In the history of entertainment in East and Central Africa there has been no spectacle as big that has burned as bright as Fiesta. Fiesta, now entering its 15th year is the region’s largest and oldest music festival and is commonly referred to as “East Africa’s Biggest Stage“ Starting as an annual show in Dar es Salaam over a decade ago, Fiesta has mushroomed into 20 dates annually with a total attendance reaching nearly 700,000 people and is highlighted by the Fiesta Grand Finale Show in Dar es Salaam that has an annual attendance of 60,000+ people. In 2019, the United Republic of Tanzania announced the launch of its first national Zero Malaria Starts with Me campaign, becoming the 11th nation to join the ever-growing Pan-African movement. The campaign was launched during the Southern African Community (SADC) Malaria Day that was commemorated on the sidelines of the SADC Health Minister’s Meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. At the national level, the campaign seeks to mobilize political will, additional resources (especially from domestic sources), and community ownership in the fight against malaria.

Tanzania Music Awards are national music awards held annually in Tanzania. They are also known as the Kilimanjaro Music Awards or the Kili Music Awards after their sponsor (Kilimanjaro Premium Lager). The awards were established in 1999 by the National Arts Council (BASATA) under the Tanzanian Ministry of Education and Culture.
The 2015 KTMA officially kicked off on March 23, with the gala night slated for June, 13. Nominations were done for 33 categories including for Song of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, etc.

Bongo Star Search is an interactive musical reality TV show. The show seeks to find talented up and coming artists in Tanzania through nationwide auditions. The show premiered on ITV in 2006, since then the program has grown to be loved by viewers.
The show presents a unique platform to the youths of Tanzania whose talent lacks exposure or the funds to support and advance it. So far Bongo Star Search has been held over seven successful seasons. The show consists of a panel of judges who critique the contestants’ performances. The audience is also involved in determining the eventual homegrown super star via SMS voting.

EATV Awards

The EATV AWARDS were launched in 2016 by East Africa Television and Radio, and were held for the first time on 10/12/2016 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The awards feature music and film artists from East African countries and will be held annually, with the award winning an annual increase from ten categories competing this year.

Karibu Music Festival is an annual Three-days INTERNATIONAL music festival created by Karibu Cultural Promotions Organization (NGO) and Legendary Music Entertainment and Promotion Company Ltd. in Tanzania main land. It will be held at Bagamoyo, on 500 acres grounds alongside the beach at the College of Arts and Culture (TASUBA). The main attraction of the festival is the mixture of Music, Dance and Cultural Exposure, where by different artistes from different parts of the world will be invited to share the stage with the local East African artistes.
